Due to an ever-increasing workload, we are seeking a dynamic and committed developing designer with early to mid-level, professional Landscape Architect/Designer with a minimum of 1 years’ experience in high end residential/commercial landscape design to join our team. To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who has a broad knowledge of native & exotic plant material, hardscape, drainage, irrigation, pools and water features. A diploma in Horticulture/Landscape Design or Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or similar is preferred. You will have a range of landscape design skills with a willingness to grow and learn within our business. The successful applicant will gain firm experience while supporting Senior Designers in the team advance our constantly evolving design studio with organisational systems, time management and execution of projects.
Roles and Responsibilities • To design, draft and prepare the concept plans as per the brief supplied by the senior designers on the team in a timely and professional manner. • To prepare any supporting notes or specifications that are required to augment the plans to the standard required. • To prepare stage 2 packages as per Stage 2 Checklist document. • A timely manner is allowing the correct time to draft and package plans with sign off by senior team member you are working with. • To assist senior designers on the team in project managing construction jobs as required. In any client correspondence, senior design team member you are working with to be copied into any emails. • On instruction from senior designer you are working with - Ordering of materials for your project and directing deliveries. • Support senior design team in keeping the data base up to date, including all columns to be filled out completely or as best to your knowledge. • Responsible for opening all your assigned new projects as per the ‘opening up a new project’ file for your own projects. • Responsible for Project Management and Client Liaison of your projects. • Picking up and returning of goods/materials/samples as required for your projects. • Document all hours in the record sheet. • Be excellent at time management and work responsibly and conscientiously • To manage your own workflow accordingly to ensure all work is completed as per studio expectations. To notify Studio Manager or Senior Designer you are working under with as much notice as possible if you are unable to meet a deadline or are feeling stressed or overwhelmed with workflow. • To dress in a smart, clean, presentable, and professional way in the office and to meetings outside the office when representing the company. • Help keep the office tidy and be responsible for your workspace – that it is always neat and tidy.
