Commensurate to experience

1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year HORTICULTURE APPRENTICE

Currently we require Parks and Gardens Apprentices to work with our team leaders in our Residential Maintenance crews.

You will need to have superior attention to detail, be well presented, and be passionate about plants, gardens and landscapes!

Ideally the role is suited to 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Horticulture apprentices studying Parks and Gardens at TAFE.

We will also consider those committed to starting an apprenticeship as a mature aged apprentice.

The position will primarily be responsible for the maintainance of high quality residential landscapes including tasks such as mowing, edging, hedging, pruning, weeding, pest and disease identification and treatment.

The role may also require soft landscaping installation such as mulching, planting, turfing, drainage, garden lighting, and irrigation installation or maintenance ensuring client expectations and budgets are met and exceeded.

The position is Permanent Full Time with preferred hours from 7pm – 3.30pm Monday to Friday with plenty of opportunities for overtime to be worked.

Essential criteria for our ideal candidate include:

1. Be enrolled or willing to enrol at TAFE in Certificate III Parks and Gardens
2. Current manual drivers licence.
3. Workcover White Card.
4. Personal References

TLA does not have access to the customer’s credit card number which is encrypted for security purposes. The credit card will be debited at the time of processing the payment. A tax invoice/receipt will be automatically generated and emailed to the customer.

Orders are ordinarily dispatched by Australia Post, Express Post, within seven working days. Five days should be allowed for delivery. This timeframe is indicative only. Every reasonable effort will be made to notify the customer if a delay is expected.

Provided an order has not been dispatched, it may be cancelled in full or part by calling The Landscape Association on (02) 9630 4844. Returns are not accepted by The Landscape Association unless the customer has received an unordered or faulty item, or unless otherwise required under Australian legislation.
