Garden Maintenance Team Leader (Canberra, ACT)

Our Maintenance Team Leader will be relocating back to Sydney and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced residential Garden Maintenance Team Leader to join our growing team.

Manuka Gardens offers Landscape Design, Construction and Garden Maintenance to the Canberra region. We pride ourselves on providing not only top quality workmanship but our extensive horticultural knowledge ensures our clients' gardens grow and thrive for years to come.

Garden Maintenance Team Leader Position:
You will be responsible for maintaining our established and new maintenance clients' gardens, ensuring their gardening needs are met and exceeded. You will be able to lead and supervise a small team, ensure safety procedures are adhered to, take pride in your work and have the ability to use your initiative.

Being able to communicate effectively with clients and our team, and high attention to detail are a must.

This is a stable role within our business and would suit a candidate with long term tenure in mind who is passionate about their work and mentoring junior team members.
At times you will also have exposure to work alongside our construction team assisting with site prep, planting, turfing, irrigation amongst other ad-hoc duties.

The requirements

Skills and experience:
• Minimum 4 years garden maintenance experience including supervisory experience
• Cert III Parks & Gardens / Horticulture or similar
• Current Australian Full driver's licence and White Card
• Complete all aspects of garden maintenance to a high quality as well as managing one or two other team members
• Excellent plant, weeds and pests & disease, irrigation knowledge
• Monitor the health of gardens with the view to always improving them
• Technical skills to use job management software app (Service M8), training will be provided
• Good time management, motivated and honest

Orders are ordinarily dispatched by Australia Post, Express Post, within seven working days. Five days should be allowed for delivery. This timeframe is indicative only. Every reasonable effort will be made to notify the customer if a delay is expected.

Provided an order has not been dispatched, it may be cancelled in full or part by calling The Landscape Association on (02) 9630 4844. Returns are not accepted by The Landscape Association unless the customer has received an unordered or faulty item, or unless otherwise required under Australian legislation.
