Landscape Gardner

We are currently seeking an experienced Landscape Gardener and 'all rounder' to join our growing team on a permanent part-time basis, with the view to full-time in the near future for the right candidate.

This role will suit someone who is passionate and eager to establish a solid long-term career in Landscape Gardening, and who is willing to grow and progress with our company.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
All aspects of landscape garden maintenance such as the following;
⦁ Hedging, mowing and edging.
⦁ Laying turf, planting and mulching.
⦁ Irrigation installation and repairs.
⦁ Use and maintenance of power tools and landscaping equipment.
⦁ Reading and interpreting plans.
⦁ Provide exceptional customer care and service.
⦁ Conduct yourself in a respectful and professional manner.
⦁ Follow strict safety rules at all times.
⦁ Leave each residence in a safe and clean manner daily.

Essential Requirements
The Successful applicant must;
⦁ Have previous experience, sound knowledge and competence in landscape garden maintenance and construction; soft and hard landscaping experience preferable.
⦁ Have sound plant identification skills and cultivation knowledge.
⦁ Be competent in the identification of insects, pests, weeds and diseases and in the initiation of appropriate control procedures.
⦁ Be able to operate relevant tools and machinery.
⦁ Be well organised, punctual and reliable, with a neat and tidy presentation.
⦁ Work well as part of a team and autonomously, in all weather conditions.
⦁ Have a high level of attention to detail and personal work standards.
⦁ Have a strong work ethic, and be goal driven and motivated.
⦁ Follow instructions well and have a strong commitment to safe work practices.
⦁ Have strong communication skills including liaising with and maintaining relationships with clients, management, suppliers, contractors and team members.
⦁ Be a problem solver and have the ability to resolve issues in a timely and cost effective manner.

The requirements

We require;
⦁ Minimum 4 years experience in general garden maintenance.
⦁ Proven prior experience in a similar role.
⦁ Current unrestricted manual drivers licence (own vehicle preferable).
⦁ Current national police check (minimum 6 months).
⦁ Current construction induction 'white card' (preferable).
⦁ Preference will be given to applicants with a Cert. III in Horticulture and MR Class licence.

Orders are ordinarily dispatched by Australia Post, Express Post, within seven working days. Five days should be allowed for delivery. This timeframe is indicative only. Every reasonable effort will be made to notify the customer if a delay is expected.

Provided an order has not been dispatched, it may be cancelled in full or part by calling The Landscape Association on (02) 9630 4844. Returns are not accepted by The Landscape Association unless the customer has received an unordered or faulty item, or unless otherwise required under Australian legislation.
