Marketing & Communications Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for an effective and proactive Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our small, friendly and collaborative team. This is a busy and varied role, and an opportunity to lead delivery of all marketing, communication and social media activity for TLA.

We are an open bunch and value input from all team members. The role is part-time (3 days p/w) and flexible with days and hours giving you the work/life balance you need. This is your chance to drive our membership growth and engagement, whilst working with a team who love what they do!

Key Responsibilities
• Develop annual retention, acquisition, and referral membership campaigns
• Create and manage annual content calendars across a range of mediums
• Develop and implement TLA’s membership and partnership marketing collateral
• Drive marketing activities to create excitement around events, ensuring strong attendance
• Work with CEO to build brand awareness for TLA through external channels
• Maintain the website and member portal with marketing and membership content
• Assist in the delivery of sponsorship obligations to customers and members
• Report and recommend on campaign optimisation with a view to shape future activities/campaigns
• Own the monthly member newsletter, liaising with external contributors to ensure content is relevant, timely and interesting
• Write, edit and proof member communications, including blog content
• Evolve and implement TLA’s organic social media plan to ensure presence across multiple platforms that is fit for purpose.
• Liaise with brand ambassadors to promote the brand through social media channels – Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn

The requirements

About you:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar or relevant role.
• Qualifications in marketing and/or communications
• Demonstrated experience working in a membership-based organisation (highly regarded)
• Good understanding of digital and traditional marketing
• Experience building and sending eDMs using a CMS
• Proactive approach to communications and marketing initiatives
• Excellent copywriting and content writing skills
• Experience managing and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong understanding of social media management, including community management
• Friendly and helpful mindset in dealing with members and service providers
• Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
• Sound administration skills including attention to detail, time management and accuracy
• Ability to manage more than one project/activity at a time
• MS Office Suite Skills and CRM experience (highly advantageous)
• Positive and willing to assist with a broad range of tasks as required.

TLA does not have access to the customer’s credit card number which is encrypted for security purposes. The credit card will be debited at the time of processing the payment. A tax invoice/receipt will be automatically generated and emailed to the customer.

Orders are ordinarily dispatched by Australia Post, Express Post, within seven working days. Five days should be allowed for delivery. This timeframe is indicative only. Every reasonable effort will be made to notify the customer if a delay is expected.

Provided an order has not been dispatched, it may be cancelled in full or part by calling The Landscape Association on (02) 9630 4844. Returns are not accepted by The Landscape Association unless the customer has received an unordered or faulty item, or unless otherwise required under Australian legislation.
