COVID-19 has created a new and challenging environment for both business owners and workers.
SafeWork has free training and expert work health and safety advice to support you and the wellbeing of your team, delivered online, via video conference or over the phone.
For workers: Free online mental health skills training
A 45-minute online training session run by Black Dog Institute can help you and your team. Whether you work together in the office, or are working from home, this service will teach you how to manage mental health and boost wellbeing.
For managers: Free online training and interactive workshops
A one-hour, self-paced, online training session to help you manage mental health and wellbeing for yourself and your team. You can also take part in an interactive Managing for Team Wellbeing three-hour Workshop, run by clinical psychologists from Black Dog Institute. It will help you identify the signs of mental ill-health among your staff and take effective action to support them and your business, with an opportunity to discuss current issues you may be facing.
For business owners: Free work health and safety advice
The program provides guidance on how to manage teams remotely, how to help individuals through this challenging time and handle sensitive workplace situations. It will also assist you in creating a mental health development plan.
It’s important that employers, where practicable, deliver a safe environment so workers stay physically and mentally healthy. The Mentally Healthy Workplaces website has useful information, resources and practical tools to help you manage risk factors, lead change and provide support for your team during COVID-19.
